Nina is looking for her Perfect Home
Nina’s perfect home is quiet, steady, and built around companionship. She would love peaceful morning walks through a calm community, then coming home with someone who works from home, is retired, or simply spends much of their day there. She bonds closely with her person and seems happiest when she can be part of the ordinary rhythm of their life.
Her favorite evenings are easy ones: settling onto the couch beside her person while they brush her, hanging out together, and knowing she has nowhere else she needs to be. A home where she can relax freely and rarely needs to be crated would suit her especially well.
Nina has lived around other animals in foster care and boarding and has shown that she can be friendly and respectful with both dogs and cats. Her best animal companions are calm, easygoing roommates who enjoy sharing a home without constantly demanding her attention. She is especially well suited to animals who are comfortable letting Nina have a close relationship with their human.
She also appreciates having clear ownership of the things that matter to her. In previous homes, Nina has guarded food and toys from other dogs, helped herself to other dogs’ belongings when competition developed, and become vocal when another dog crowded her during time with her person. Separate feeding, individual high-value items, and calm dogs who are comfortable giving one another space make those situations much easier for her.
Nina has also shown that she can be good with children who are calm and respectful of dogs. She responds best to predictable interactions and a quieter household, making older, dog-savvy kids who understand personal space the strongest match.
At heart, Nina is a deeply affectionate dog who wants a steady relationship with someone she can trust. Her ideal life is made up of quiet walks, a peaceful home, compatible animal friends, plenty of time near her person, and evenings spent curled up together on the couch. For someone whose own version of a good life looks much the same, Nina may fit into it remarkably well.
