I'm ready for my new family!

Maverick (was LeRoy)

I'm Available

Handsome, athletic, and incredibly smart, Maverick is a German Shepherd/Husky mix with a big personality and an impressive willingness to learn. At about 3 years old and 55 pounds, this energetic boy has plenty of enthusiasm for life and is looking for someone who can keep up!

Maverick's journey began at the shelter, where an unfamiliar environment and frightening experiences left him overwhelmed and unsure of people. Once rescued, he got the opportunity to work with Jereme at Paddock Paws, where his intelligence, eagerness to learn, and potential quickly became apparent. Maverick proved to be an exceptional student, and his progress has been wonderful to watch!

Now a proud graduate of his board-and-train program, Maverick is enjoying life with newfound confidence. He's even had successful dog park adventures, playing happily with dogs of all sizes! He's affectionate, playful, and loves having something to do, especially when it means working alongside his favorite humans.

Maverick's ideal home will have an experienced dog person who understands the importance of building trust, providing consistent guidance, and continuing to nurture his confidence. He'll thrive with an active companion who enjoys adventures, training, and giving a clever dog opportunities to put his brain to work.

Maverick has come such a long way from the frightened dog he once was. Now he's ready to put everything he's learned toward his next big adventure: finding a family of his very own! ❤️
