Cherry
Cherry is a 2-year-old, 42-pound Bull Terrier mix with fantastic ears, a huge smile, and a sweet tendency to seek out her people once she feels comfortable.
During her time at the shelter, Cherry regularly approached handlers for affection. She sat beside them for pets, moved closer when she wanted more, put her front paws in a handler’s lap, followed people around the play yard, and showed that she already knows “sit.” She also came when called and allowed handlers to leash and handle her.
Cherry can be sensitive to loud noises and fast movements, so she’ll do best with people who are willing to give her a little room to take things in and approach at her own pace. She responds well to calm, gentle interaction and has already shown that she enjoys being close to people she feels safe with.
At just under 42 pounds, Cherry is a nice medium-sized companion with plenty of personality packed into a compact frame. She’s ready for a home where she can trade the noise and commotion of shelter life for familiar people, a comfortable routine, and all the affection she keeps asking for.
