I'm ready for my new family!

Arnold

I'm Available

Hi there! My name is Arnold, the vet thinks I am around 7-10 years old. Yes, I am considered an "old man," but I require daily walks. I have an old shoulder injury so calm walks approximately 20 minutes between 1/2- 1 mile long are best. I did loose some hearing in one of my ears and my foster mom is working with the vet to find the right medication to keep me comfortable. I love to carry my toys around, but I am still learning how to play with them. I love when you toss or hide treats in the grass and rocks so I can go look for them. I do come with some trauma and my foster mom has worked very hard with me to get past it. It is NOT recommended to kennel me(closed walls); it causes me trauma. I am cage trained and my cage/crate will come with me. My foster mom would also not recommend outside boarding either. I was in the shelter for a long time and was on the E-list before the rescue came and got me. I was pretty shut down and had anxiety. With that being said I love being with my humans. I would probably be best in an only dog home. I would love to be in a home with middle aged or older people. I am very affectionate and rarely bark. I love to be pet behind the ears and cuddled all the time. I follow my foster mom around when she is home. I have done well with professional dog walkers and pet sitters that have stayed with me while my foster mom traveled.
